Stops / breaks
- In the summer, look for a cool spot in the shade.
- Loosen your shoes and put your feet up.
- Make the most of your break to eat and drink something (walnuts, chocolate, fruit, energy bars, but in small quantities, enough to replenish your energy.
- Breaks should not be too long (5 to 10 minutes maximum).
- If you are cycling, rest off the trail. Breaks should be short and infrequent.
- If the day’s stage is divided into two parts, take a long break to eat and restore energy.
